CONTENT CREATION

Well well well, didn't think I'd be talking about VTubers huh... THINK AGAIN!

As a vtuber myself I think I earn some right to speak on it, and no I won't badmouth any vtubers or specific content creators, because what's the point of hating? You're just wasting space in your head, you should instead be appreciating and supporting those who you find comfort in.

Let's talk about myself. I started vtubing around late 2020, October to be exact. I still remember to this day, why I shifted over to vtubing in the first place. I had a friend who found out that he can use a 3D avatar in his streams, so I had asked him, and then went into the rabbit hole of the world of vtubers. From Hololive to the indies, I've known of content creators like, Kizuna Ai and ProjektMelody. Without naming names, I've known some friends who were a bit skeptical about vtubing, finding it weird, but despite it all I still dived right into it without hesitation. I don't have any regrets either, it's been a fantastic experience but more on that later.

I would consider myself to be a contrarian, so when I differed from the majority, I felt like an outcast. Hearing things like, "What the f*ck is this", "Just show your face". When HololiveEN's first gen (Myth) dropped that featured, Gawr Gura, Mori Colliope, Amelia Watson, Ninomae Ina'nis, and Kiara Takanashi, the perspective changed, which helped a lot.

VTubers to this day still have an impact to my life, not only because I am one, but because they're just an inspiration to many out there!

I would have never thought that it would've gotten as big as it's gotten over the course of 4-5 years. I know in Japan, with longtime Hololive talents like Tokino Sora, Hoshimachi Suisei, Sakura Miko, and MORE! It's been sort of a norm overseas, but in western culture it wasn't so popular. So to see the difference that with over 100s of content creators as vtubers, from then to now is just CRAZY and I love it!

Seeing content creators who're handicapped, disabled, etc. just pursue vtubing as way of creating has been inspiring, Ironmouse for example.

The rather feisty Latina as coined by Connor (CDawgVA), due to her diagnosis of Common Variable Immunodeficiency (CVID), a primary immunodeficiency disorder that significantly weakens her immune system, making her highly susceptible to infections. I love that she's still able to have and live a "life" even though she has this condition, with friends/family by her side supporting her along the way! I can't tell you enough with how amazing her singing is either. GAWD DAMN! She is an inspiration to all and I hope that continues as the years go by!

It's simply fascinating how people will find a way to make light of the world even in such a dark place. Which is why I believe that even though there are some bad apples in the community, simply enjoy and support those who you believe are the good apples.
